Projects I’ve Led From Banks to Boardrooms to Bunkers
Behind every acronym and project code, there's a story of challenge, growth, and grit. I’ve lived them all. From shaping Malaysia’s nuclear transition strategy with TNB in 2024 to leading tech-integrated defense systems under MINDEF, I’ve spent over two decades transforming ambitious visions into measurable realities. My project playground spans energy, defense, banking, insurance, IT, and public sector innovation and trust me, no two days have ever been the same.
Charting Malaysia's Nuclear Future in 2024
In one of my proudest roles to date, I served as VP of Training & PMO Services Delivery on the TNB Net Zero 2050 Nuclear Pre-Feasibility Study. I wasn’t just crunching numbers, I was part of the core stakeholder team, interviewing 32 MPs to map political sentiments, navigating policy terrains, and crafting a foundation for national energy transformation.
The eCEOs ATP Journey
I built and launched The eCEOs Sdn Bhd into a PMI Authorized Training Partner in just 3 months by developing strategy, branding, and delivering PMP courses as a PMI ATP Instructor, giving professionals globally recognized credentials and confidence.
Sapura Secured Tech & National Security Programs
In 2023, I helmed the Centre of Excellence for Program Management at Sapura Secured Tech, creating project health dashboards, SOPs, timesheet apps, and training programs, all under three months. Before that, I managed the ICCS project for MINDEF, coordinating with local and international teams to meet strict security and confidentiality standards.
From IT to ERP, Agriculture to Analytics
At FGV Prodata, I didn’t just set up the Project Portfolio Management Office; I built a full-fledged division managing RM350M+ worth of projects across SAP, ERP, IT services, and telecoms. From there, I led dozens of major initiatives such as S/4HANA migration, SAP for CIDB, a Genome Browser for Oil Palm R&D, and even an ISO compliance system.
Insurance, Banking & Digital Pioneering
From 2009 to 2015, I rode the wave of digital transformation, managing Etiqa's first end-to-end STP mobile app, launching CNA tools for Maybank, migrating millions of takaful policies, and rolling out NSRS for Bank Islam. I even revived a failing system for Bank Negara Malaysia, proving that good PMs are also fire-fighters.
The Early Days of Databases, Lending, and Navision
From 1998 to 2008, I laid the groundwork for my career by building, integrating, and deploying loan systems, core banking apps, and Microsoft Navision upgrades across multiple financial institutions like Bank Industri, SME Bank, PNB, KOJADI, and Formis.
